The First Impact

    
The massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake in Japan  triggering  tsunami warnings across the Pacific Ocean on March 11, 2011. One of the biggest earthquakes recorded in history, it was followed by more than 50 aftershocks, many of them stronger them 6.0. All of these are adding to the probability of a very large tsunami. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the east coast of Honshu, Japan. Below shows the location if the epicenter.
